Covid graph of Cachar goes up, 16 detected positive on Monday
Active cases 71 in Cachar, 4 discharged
Jan. 3: The number of coronavirus cases in Cachar district on Monday increased considerable. The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Monday at 11.20 PM. As per the latest data, 16 persons were found positive in the district on 3 January. Also, 04 patients were discharged (02 hospital & 02 from home) during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 71. It needs mention here that in Assam, the number of daily positive cases was recorded at 351.
As per the updated data, a total of 261 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 05 person was found positive, whereas 11 were detected positive out of 134 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 20,622 whereas during this phase, 20,332 patients were discharged.
The Covid-19 cases at SMCH has somewhat increased at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) since the last 3 days. However, the last 24 hours (5 PM on 02 January to 5 PM on 03 January) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at SMCH. This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Monday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 03 January, there were 13 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 01 patient was put under ventilator support, and 01 in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 01 Covid positive patient was admitted at SMCH and 02 were discharged.
