ওয়ে টু বরাক, ৭ মে : গুরুচরণ কলেজের প্রাণীবিদ্যা বিভাগ রবিবার অ্যাড অন কোর্স অন ইকোটোরিজম এর সূচনা করে। এই কোর্স চালু করতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করেন প্রাণীবিদ্যা বিভাগের প্রধান অধ্যাপক ড. নীলেন্দু ধর। সহযোগিতার হাত বাড়িয়ে দেন সহকারী অধ্যাপিকা ড. দেবীপ্রীতা দত্ত, সুজয় হালদার এবং সবিতা সিনহা। দশ দিনের এই ইকোটোরিজম কোর্সে মোট ৩০ জন ছাত্রছাত্রী আর্টস, কমার্স এবং সায়েন্স বিভাগ থেকে যোগদান করে। এই কোর্সে থিওরি সহ এক্সকার্সন রয়েছে।

প্রাণীবিদ্যা বিভাগের ষষ্ঠ সেমিস্টারের শুভদীপ এবং সূর্যদীপ সূচনা পর্বের অনুষ্ঠানকে পরিচালনা করে। ব্রততী চক্রবর্তীর গলায় গাওয়া রবীন্দ্রসঙ্গীত দিয়ে অনুষ্ঠানটির সূচনা হয়। অনুষ্ঠানটির বিশেষ আকর্ষণ ছিল কমার্স বিভাগের প্রধান অধ্যাপক জয়দীপ ভট্টাচার্যের ট্যুরিজম সম্পর্কে বক্তব্য। তিনি বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে ইকো ট্যুরিজমের বিভিন্ন দিক তুলে ধরেন এবং এই কোর্সটি সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন করলে ছাত্রছাত্রীরা কিভাবে উপকৃত হবে, তা বিশদভাবে ব্যাখ্যা করেন। ষষ্ঠ সেমিস্টারের ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের মধ্যে  স্বপ্রকাশ, সুতপা, শুভম অনুষ্ঠানটিকে সফল করে তুলতে অগ্রণী ভূমিকা পালন করে।

Way2barak, May 7 : Department of Zoology, Gurucharan College witnesses the inception of “Add on course on ecotourism”. The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of Dr. Nilendu Dhar, HOD, Dept. Of Zoology, Dr.Debipreeta Dutta, Asst. Professor, two teachers Sujoy Haldar and Sobita sinha. A total of 30 enthusiastic students from arts, commerce and science departments participated in the 10-day course on ecotourism.

Subhadeep Bhattacharjee and Suryadeep Bhattacharjee, sixth semester students of zoology department conducted today’s ceremony. The programme was inaugurated by a melodious Rabindra Sangeet performance by Brototi Chakraborty. Dr. Jaydeep Bhattacharjee, Head of the commerce department shared his views and priceless knowledge on tourism. His kind words increased the zeal among the students to a even higher parameter. The efforts of few other students of Zoology Department, namely Sutapa, Shubham and Swaprakash has also added to the immense success of the programme.
