Corona +ve man from Badarpur admitted at SMCH has not tested negative, reconfirms DC Karimganj

April 4: Anbamuthan MP, Deputy Commissioner, Karimganj, on Friday clarified again that no 2nd test was performed and so the patient Jamal Uddin is still COVID-19 positive and is undergoing treatment at SMCH.

When no test was performed, there arises no question of being negative, said the DC. He further urged upon the media fraternity not to publish any news item without verifying it. It needs mention here that similar information was also provided by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH during media briefing at Silchar on Friday. Media Expert, Suman Choudhury reiterated the same.

Earlier during Friday, Silchar MP and eminent physician, Dr. Rajdeep Roy also said that the information circulated regarding the COVID-19 patient turning out to be negative during the 2nd test is totally fake and baseless.
