সড়ক দুর্ঘটনায় প্রৌঢ়ের মৃত্যু
Aged man died in road mishap

১ ফেব্রুয়ারিঃ সড়ক দুর্ঘটনায় প্রাণ হারালেন এক প্রৌঢ়। পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, নিহত ব্যক্তির নাম সোনামণি লস্কর। দক্ষিণ মোহনপুর সপ্তম খণ্ডের  আমতলায় বাড়ি তাঁর। স্বাধীনবাজার বড় মসজিদের সামনে রাত আটটা নাগাদ এই দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে।

এশার নামাজ পড়ে বের হয়েছিলেন ৬০ বছরের সোনামণি লস্কর। আচমকা দ্রুত বেগে আসা এক বাইকের ধাক্কায় ছিটকে পড়েন। ঘটনাস্থলেই মৃত্যু হয় তাঁর। পুলিশ দ্রুত গিয়ে মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করলেও বাইকচালককে পায়নি। বাইক ফেলে সে পালিয়েছে।

February 1: An aged man lost his life in a street accident. Police has informed that the name of the deceased person is Sonamani Laskar. He is a resident of Amtala, Part-VII of South Mohanpur. The accident took place near the ‘Boro Masjid’ at Swadhin Bazar at around 8 PM. The 60 year old Sonamani Laskar just came out from the Mosque after performing evening prayer.

All of a sudden, a motorbike came and hit Sonamani Laskar. As a result, he fell down and died at the spot. Police rushed at the spot and recovered the body, but the bike rider eloped from the spot leaving the bike at the site of the accident.
