Controller of Examinations of Gauhati University suspended for delay in declaration of UG results

Aug. 19: In a significant move, the disciplinary authority of Gauhati University has suspended its Controller of Examinations (COE) Dr Dhruwajyoti Choudhury because of anomaly and delay in declaration of Under Graduate (UG) results of 2022. The Deputy Controller of Examinations at the university has been assigned the additional duties of the CoE.

Issuing an order to this effect on 18 August, 2022, Registrar & Disciplinary Authority of Gauhati University stated, “Pending drawal of Disciplinary Proceedings, Dr. Dhruwajyoti Choudhury, Controller of Examinations, Gauhati University is placed under suspension with immediate effect until further order because of anomaly and delay in declaration of results of the Undergraduate Examinations of Gauhati University in the year 2022.”

The order stated This, “This is executed in exercise of the power conferred by Rule 6 of Assam Services (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1964.”
