Congress demands CID enquiry in the kidnap & murder of infant at Kajidor

August 8: We demand a CID enquiry into the matter of kidnap and murder of five months old baby at Kajidor. This was said by Sushmita Dev, former Member of Parliament & President of All India Mahila Congress during a press meet at Indira Bhavan Silchar on Friday. A memorandum in this regard was also sent by her to the Chief Minister of the state.

Various other issues were raised by the Congress Party and immediate action was demanded by them. Sushmita Dev in the memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister also wrote, “I would like to bring to your kind notice that even in the past there was a case of abduction of Neha Bagti and a infant. The infant was recovered by the Police but till today Neha Bagti remains untraceable.” Issue of the death of journalist Molin Sharma also came up for discussion. Till now, the tipper which killed Molin Sarma has not been traced.

Others present in the press meet said that Congress is always with the common masses, in every step and will fight for justice and rights of the people. Sanjeev Roy, Secretary of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee, Partha Ranjan Chakraborty, Chairman, DCC Silchar media department, GS of Silchar DCC- Papon Dev and Mohanlal Das were present during the press meet among others.
