College students engaged in Orunodoi Month survey in Cachar to undergo training from 1 August

Orunodoi Month door-to-door survey to be done from 20 Aug to 20 Sept

July 30: A major exercise to update Orunodoi beneficiaries’ list will begin from 20 August, 2022 where college students will be involved to conduct house visits. The updated list will have Aadhaar numbers of beneficiaries. Basically, the Orunodoi Month (20 August to 20 September) will be for exclusion. Again, from 20 September to 20 October, 2022, work for inclusion of new names of Orunodoi beneficiaries will take place.

The Orunodoi Month will last from 20 August to 20 September. During this phase, the students will visit the homes of Orunodoi beneficiaries and update information through a mobile app. If there is any improvement in the economic status of the Orunodoi beneficiaries, then their names will be excluded from the scheme during this phase.

In this connection, the college students selected for this purpose in Cachar district will be given training (batch wise) from 1 August to 4 August, 2022 at Gandhi Bhawan, Silchar. On 1 August, Rajib Roy, DDC Cachar & Nodal Officer of Orunodoi will begin the first session of the training of the students who will comprise members of verification teams. The other Master Trainers who will train them during the four days are Sudarshan Gupta & Arunabha Bhattacharjee, Assistant Professors of Radhamadhab College, Silchar, Ruli Daulagupu, SPO,T&D Branch, Kingshuk Talukdar, APO, T&D Branch, Prosenjit Paul, Dist Programmer, SSA Cachar, Rahul Das, DIO, NIC Cachar and Dr Juned Ahmed Mazumder, Dist Manager, DITEC.

Issuing an order to this effect, DC Cachar, Rohan Kumar Jha wrote, “All the Verification Team (VT) Members engaged in door-to-door survey during Orunodoi Month, 2022 are hereby instructed not to withdraw their name during the course of Orunodoi exercise unless any unanticipated situation arise. Further, the V.T. Members are directed not to remain absent in their duties even for a single day without prior information and permission from their respective Supervisors.”
