CMD of NEDFi participate in a business meet at Silchar to boost the spirit of entrepreneurs of Barak Valley

way2barak, Dec.5: The Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) PVSNL Murty of North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi) came on a two days visit at Silchar for Entrepreneurs Meet that was held on 3 December in NEDFi Branch office at Rangirkhari. Debarshi Bhattacharyya (AGM), Pankaj Das (Liaison Executive), Ankur Deb (Branch Manager of NEDFi Silchar Branch) also attended the meeting.

This business meet was organised for existing businessmen, entrepreneurs, scholars and startups. The motto of the meeting was to boost the spirit of entrepreneurs of Barak Valley. People from various sectors attended this meeting. In this meeting, CMD of NEDFi addressed various issues that a businessman or a startup may face and he also discussed how it could be resolved. He also discussed about the shortcomings like transportation and power supply and highlighted the strength of Barak Valley that may help the entrepreneurs.

The CMD said that the market of the Barak Valley region is not saturated and there is a high scope for new business and industries. He assured that financial assistance would be provided to the young generation who want to pursue their goal to start a new business, as well as to the existing businesses. He said that NEDFi will help and provide financial support to various sectors like trading, manufacturing, infrastructure, microfinance etc. He also assured lower interest rates compared to other banks or financial sectors to ‘meet the need’ of the market.

Mr. Murty discussed various startup ideas with the attendees and also assured them help and future guidance and asked them to visit the branch to further the discussion. He said in future too, he will discuss the problems and solution with them either face to face or through online mode. At the end, he answered the queries of the attendees at length.
