1130 +ve cases in Assam on Friday, total rises to 29,921

July 24: On Friday, 1130 new cases of coronavirus were detected from across Assam. With this, the state tally has gone upto 29,921, out of which, 9143 are active cases. Meanwhile, 6 more deaths due to COVID were also registered in Assam during the day, thereby taking the death tally to 76. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 1130 new #COVID cases detected in Assam; 417 in Guwahati, Cachar 104. Out of 16178 samples in the last 24 hrs, we recorded low positivity rate of 6.98%.”
