CM Sonowal inaugurates Assam’s 1st heliport in Majuli

Feb. 4: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday inauguratedAssam’s first heliport in Majuli district. A guest house was also inaugurated by the Chief Minister in Majuli. The heliport and guest house were built with the aim to develop tourism infrastructure and attract foreign as well as domestic tourists to Majuli, asserted the CM.

The Twitter handle of Chief Minister’s Office Assam wrote, “With the aim to develop tourism infrastructure and attract foreign as well as domestic tourists to Majuli, CM Shri @sarbanandsonwal inaugurated the state’s 1st Heliport and a Guest House at Garamur of the river island district.” The heliport located in Keralagaon area of Majuli was constructed at an expenditure of Rs 50 lakh.
