CM Sonowal discusses roadmap to combat Covid-19, to announce new guidelines on Tuesday

April 19: In the wake of the spike in the Covid-19 cases, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday held a meeting along with Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and senior officials in Guwahati. Taking to his twitter handle, CM Sonowal wrote, “Discussed the roadmap ahead to combat the ongoing #COVID19 situation in presence of Health Minister Shri @himantabiswa and senior officials in Guwahati. We are taking all measures to keep citizens safe and healthy. Do #WearMask and please follow Govt guidelines.”

After the meeting, Chief Minister Sonowal informed the press that on 20 April the DGP and Chief Secretary will announce the new COVID-19 guidelines in a press conference. On Monday, out of 65,410 tests, 1367 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam.
