CM holds meeting with Education & power depts, suggest measures to fill up vacancies by Dec 2022

way2barak, Dec.1: The Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has promised to provide 1 lakh jobs. Acting on this, the Chief Minister held a meeting with Education and Power department officials on Thursday to know about vacant positions in both the departments and fill them up soon. Also present during the discussion were his Cabinet colleagues Dr Ranoj Pegu, Nandita Garlosa and Jayanta Mallah Baruah.

After a threadbare discussion, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma suggested measures for filling up vacancies in Education Dept by Dec 2022. The Chief Minister asked Power Dept to start the process of filling up the vacancies by December, including in APDCL, AEGCL & APGCL, and create new vacancies to revamp the power sector.
