CM distribute cheques worth ₹1 lakh each to 1,296 families of tea workers & tea labourers of Doloo
way2barak, Nov.29: In today’s Assam Cabinet held for the 1st time in Silchar, the state govt has taken several important decisions relating to launch of Orunodoi 2.0, allotment of land for educational institutions, inter-district transfer of villages, Greenfield airport at Silchar, new flyovers in Guwahati, etc. The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma. In the Cabinet meeting, decision was taken for employees of Doloo Tea Estate.
After the Cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister distributed cheques worth ₹1 lakh each to 1,296 families of tea workers & tea labourers of Doloo Tea Estate as a goodwill gesture. “Development of tea garden families is our priority and as such our Govt will also give ₹1 lakh each to the casual employees of Doloo TE,” stated Dr Sarma while distributing the ceremony at Daloo. He further stated, “This will pave the way for faster development of Greenfield Airport at Silchar.”

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Cabinet Ministers Jayanta Mallah Baruah, Parimal Suklabaidya, MP Dr Rajdeep Roy and former MLA Rajdeep Goala among others.
