CM Assam to visit Silchar on Sunday, to take part in multiple events

Jan. 29: Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma will be visiting Silchar on Sunday where he is supposed to take part in a number of events. This is his 2nd visit to Silchar within a fortnight. His last visit here was on 21 January, when he inaugurated Cath Lab at Silchar Medical College & Hospital and also took part in the 29th Foundation Day of Assam University as the Chief Guest.

On 30 January, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma will reach Silchar Airport at 11.30 AM. From there, he will arrive at Silchar Circuit House and stay there for some time. From 12.30 PM to 4 PM, the Chief Minister will attend engagements as fixed locally in Silchar. However, the details of the engagements were not specified. Sources in the BJP informed that the Chief Minister is also supposed to meet RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat who is on a 4-day tour in Silchar.

At 4.30 PM, he is supposed to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of Sahid Nandachand Bridge at Lakhipur. From there, Dr Sarma will visit the residence of Lakhipur MLA Kaushik Rai. He will then leave for Silchar Airport and proceed towards Guwahati by flight at 9 PM.
