CM Assam arrive at Silchar, visits Kachakanti Temple & Panchanan Shiv Bari

Oct. 12: Chief Minister of Assam, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has come on a one-day tour of Silchar today, that is, on the day of Maha Saptami. While on his way to Silchar from the airport, the Chief Minister went to Kachakanti Temple at Udharbond and performed puja there. He then visited Panchanan Shiv Bari and also offered prayer there. The CM also interacted with teachers at the adjacent Kanchakanti Vidya Mandir.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by his cabinet colleague Parimal Suklabaidya, MP Silchar Dr Rajdeep Roy, MLA’s Dipayan chakrabory, Kaushik Rai among others.

During the day, the Chief Minister will be attending Durga Puja programmes from 11 AM to 12.40 AM and then proceed towards NIT Silchar. There at NIT Silchar, Dr Sarma will attend a plantation programme.

At 3 PM, he will meet with officials of revenue department. He will then go for site inspection of Integrated DC office and a bridge over river Barak at Annapurna Ghat. In the evening, he will pay a visit to the residences of Bimal Nath Choudhury and Parimal Suklabaidya. The Cief Minister will also visit the puja pandals in the evening. He will stay at night at Circuit House and leave for Guwahati in the morning on 13 October.
