Club Ananya felicitates COVID warrior doctors at the end of their quarantine period

June 22: The health workers are offering relentless service to the COVID-19 patients all throughout the globe. Risking their lives, they have been involved in treating the patients. As per protocol, after being involved in the COVID-19 ward, the doctors, nurses, Grade-IV staff are to go for mandatory institutional quarantine. On Monday, the team of doctors led by Dr. Tanushree Gupta were discharged from the quarantine centre at Hotel Sagarika Regency. These valiant COVID Warriors were felicitated on Monday by the members of Club Ananya.

The team of doctors were on duty in the COVID-19 Ward of Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) from 8 June to 14 June, 2020. The team led by Dr. Tanushree Gupta comprises of Dr. Gaby Thomas, Dr. Shabnam Bahar Barbhuiya, Dr. Madhusmita Choudhury, Dr. Zakir Hussain Laskar, Dr. Madhurima Dutta, Dr. Nivedita Dutta, Dr. Rahul kushwaha, Dr. Ujjal Rajbongshi, Dr. Ridip Kr. Mazumder and Dr. Santasree Ghosh.

The corona warriors were felicitated by Club Ananya with a bouquet and uttariyo. Club Ananya was led by its President Shampa Dhar and Secretary Sampa Banik. The other members of Ananya who were also present during the felicitation ceremony are Madhumita Paul, Madhuparna Basak and Jhumna Chakraborty.

Expressing their views, Shampa Dhar and Sampa Banik stated that the felicitation programme was organised by them to honour the service rendered by the doctors in serving the society. They said, “We are indebted to the doctors and all other health staff for serving the corona patients leaving aside their families for so many days.”
