Class X student of 2021 batch of Holy Cross HS School dies on Friday due to cancer

April 16: A student from the Khasi community of Class X batch- 2021 of Holy Cross HS School, Silchar breathed his last on the day of Good Friday. The deceased was identified as Adilson Shnen. Informing about this tragic incident, Principal of the school, Sr Teresa Martis BS on Saturday stated, “He was a promising youth, an obedient hosteller, respectful student and hard a working and smart tribal boy. He was suffering with cancer for more than a year.”

Principal Sr Teresa Martis BS further stated that the deceased student Adilson Shnen “was our Bethany Champion who contributed much everywhere. We thank him for his beautiful life that he lived and surrender him to his Maker. God blessed him to die on Good Friday. May you rest in peace, dear Adilson Shnen.”

Fr Joachim Walder, Principal Sr Teresa Martis BS and about 10 students, who were his classmates and juniors had gone to his village and attended the funeral rights.
