Free features of Google Meet to expire on 30 September

Sept. 27: In an era characterised by the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, Google Meet has become a very popular and trustworthy platform for persons to interact. Google Meet (formerly known as Hangouts Meet) is a video-communication service developed by Google. Google’s video chat platform Google Meet said its free features will expire on September 30, as told earlier. The platform in April had opened up its services to all users until September 30 through which anyone could create unlimited free meetings with up to 100 people. Free features for G Suite and G Suite for Education customers will also expire.

Google had also made some advanced features free for G Suite and G Suite for Education customers. These features include support for organising meetings with up to 250 participants, host live streams with up to 100,000 people, and save meeting recordings to Google Drive. Google’s promotion includes these features too which will also end on September 30. These advanced features are available only for G Suite’s Enterprise customers.
