আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়কে ‘এডুকেশন টু এমপ্লয়মেন্ট’ সেন্টার দিল সিআইআই

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ১৩ নভেম্বর :আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়কে ‘এডুকেশন টু এমপ্লয়মেন্ট’ সেন্টার দিল কনফেডারেশন অব ইন্ডিয়ান ইন্ডাস্ট্রি (সিআইআই)। এই সেন্টার এতদঞ্চলে কর্মসংস্থান ও উদ্যোক্তা বিকাশে এক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করবে। কেন্দ্রীয় শ্রম ও কর্মসংস্থান মন্ত্রকের অংশীদারত্বে কনফেডারেশন অব ইন্ডিয়ান ইন্ডাস্ট্রির এক অভিলাষী প্রকল্প এই সেন্টার। গত ১১ ও ১২ নভেম্বর নতুন দিল্লিতে আয়োজিত ‘ফিউচার অব জবস : ক্রিটিকাল গ্রোথ এনেবলর্স’ শীর্ষক দু’দিনব্যাপী সম্মেলনে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়কে এই সেন্টার প্রদানের কথা ঘোষণা করা হয়।

এই সম্মেলনের আয়োজক ছিল কনফেডারেশন অব ইন্ডিয়ান ইন্ডাস্ট্রি ও নীতি আয়োগ। মঙ্গলবার দু’দিনের এই সম্মেলনের আনুষ্ঠানিক উদ্বোধন করেন উপরাষ্ট্রপতি সিপি রাধাকৃষ্ণণ। এতে দেশের কর্মশক্তিকে বিশ্বায়িত অর্থনীতির জন্য প্রস্তুত করতে সহযোগিতামূলক, তথ্যভিত্তিক ও শিল্প-সমন্বিত দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন উদ্যোগের আহ্বান জানানো হয়।

এই সম্মেলনে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পক্ষ থেকে অংশ নেন অ্যাগ্রিকালচারাল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিভাগের প্রধান ড. অজিতা তিওয়ারি। তাঁর হাতেই এই সেন্টার স্থাপনের আনুষ্ঠানিক নথি তুলে দেন কনফেডারেশন অব ইন্ডিয়ান ইন্ডাস্ট্রি ও নিতি আয়োগের প্রতিনিধিরা। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ক্যারিয়ার কাউন্সিলিং ও প্লেসমেন্ট সেল এবং ইনকিউবেশন সেন্টার যৌথভাবে এই সেন্টার পরিচালনা করবে।

এই সেন্টারের উদ্দেশ্য হল, শিক্ষাক্ষেত্র ও শিল্পক্ষেত্রের চাহিদার মধ্যে বিদ্যমান গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়গুলো খতিয়ে দেখা ও প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করা। এটি এমন এক শক্তিশালী কাঠামো তৈরি করবে যা শিক্ষার্থীদের প্রয়োজনীয় দক্ষতা, প্রশিক্ষণ ও সুযোগ-সুবিধা প্রদান করে কর্মসংস্থান ও উদ্যোক্তা খণ্ডে নির্বিঘ্নে প্রবেশের পথ প্রশস্ত করবে।

Way2barak, November 13 : The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has awarded an ‘Education to Employment’ (E2E) Centre to Assam University. This centre is expected to play a vital role in boosting employability and entrepreneurship in the region. The initiative is part of an ambitious project by the CII in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. The announcement was made during the two-day national conference titled “Future of Jobs: Critical Growth Enablers”, held in New Delhi on November 11 and 12.

The conference was jointly organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and NITI Aayog. The event was formally inaugurated by Vice President of India C.P. Radhakrishnan on Tuesday. The sessions called for collaborative, data-driven, and industry-aligned skill development initiatives to prepare India’s workforce for the global economy.

Dr. Ajita Tiwari, Head of the Department of Agricultural Engineering, represented Assam University at the conference. The official documents for establishing the centre were handed over to her by representatives of CII and NITI Aayog. The centre will be jointly operated by the university’s Career Counselling and Placement Cell and the Incubation Centre.

The primary objective of the centre is to identify and address the critical gaps between academic learning and industry requirements. It aims to build a robust framework that provides students with essential skills, training, and opportunities—facilitating their smooth transition into the job market and entrepreneurial sector.
