চিনফেরত ছাত্রকে হাইলাকান্দি থেকে আনা হল মেডিক্যালে, মামলা

২৪ মার্চ: চিনে ডাক্তারি পড়ছিল হাইলাকান্দির তরুণ৷ করোনা ভয়ানক আতঙ্কের চেহারা নিতেই বাড়ি চলে আসে৷ কিন্তু এই তথ্য গোপন রেখে তিনি স্বাভাবিক চলাফেরা করছিলেন৷ উদ্বিগ্ন জনতা জেলা প্রশাসনের কাছে অভিযোগ জানালে সোমবার বিকাল থেকে তাকে খুঁজে বেড়াচ্ছিল জেলা প্রশাসনের বিশেষ দল৷

বাড়ি গিয়েও তাকে পাওয়া যায়নি৷ মাঠে নামে পুলিশ৷ নিজেদের সূত্র ব্যবহার করে ধরে আনা হয় ওই মেডিক্যাল পড়ুয়াকে৷ কিন্তু হাইলাকান্দিতে তিনি স্ক্রিনিং করাতে রাজি হননি৷ পুলিশ, স্বাস্থ্যকর্মীরা দ্রুত তাকে শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে পাঠায়৷ প্রাথমিক পরীক্ষার পর তাকে মেডিক্যাল কলেজের আইসলেশন ওয়ার্ডে রাখা হয়েছে৷

এমন এক তথ্য গোপন করা এবং পরবর্তীতে পালিয়ে বেড়ানোর জন্য তার বিরুদ্ধে মামলা করেছে জেলা প্রশাসন৷ গ্রেফতার করা আসামি হিসেবেই তাকে আইসলেশনে রাখা হয়েছে৷ মামলায় তার বাবাকেও অভিযুক্ত করা হয়েছে৷

March 24: A youth from Hailakandi was studying medical science in China. He returned back to his home when coronavirus became a pandemic in China. However, he suppressed this fact and started to move about normally in his home town Hailakandi. But when people in the town came to know about his China connection, they informed the district administration. On the basis of this complaint, police started to search the boy from Monday evening.

Police could not find him in his house. Finally, on the basis of secret information, police was successful in nabing the China returned medical student. He, however, refused to undergo screening in Hailakandi. It was then that the police and health workers rushed him to Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). After initial examination at SMCH, the boy was sent to isolation ward.

Meanwhile, for suppressing such a sensitive information, a case was registered against the boy by the district administration. He was kept in isolation ward as an arrested accused. His father was also made an accused in the case filed by the administration.
