CBSE forms committee to determine criteria for compiling results of cancelled Class XII exam
Committee to submit its report within 10 days from the date of issue of the orders
June 4: In view of the uncertain conditions due to COVID and the feedback obtained from various stakeholders, it was decided that Class XII Board Examination of CBSE would not be held this year. It was also decided that CBSE will take steps to compile the results of class XII students as per a well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner. A notice in this connection was issued by the Controller of Examinations of CBSE on 4 June, 2021.
Accordingly, to decide well-defined objective criteria, a Committee was constituted on 4 June to devise modalities. The Committee will submit its report within 10 days from the date of issue of the orders. The Committe shall comprise of the following members:

The decision of cancellation of CBSE Class XII Board Examination was taken on 1 June after a key meeting chaired by PM Modi with officials and cabinet ministers. The Prime Minister said that the decision on Class 12 CBSE Exams has been taken in the interest of students. He stated that COVID-19 has affected the academic calendar and the issue of Board Exams has been causing immense anxiety among students, parents and teachers, which must be put to an end.
