Career Guidance cell under IQAC of RMC organises special lecture on ‘Game changer skills’
March 29: A special lecture entitled “Game Changer Skills & Career in Life Insurance” was organised by the Career Guidance Cell under Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Radhamadhab College, Silchar on Tuesday. The Guest Speaker during the occasion was SB Dutta Choudhury (Bapi),Consultant for recruitment of LIC, MDRT Agent.
It was a lecture combined with practical demonstration on enhancing the skills of the students so that they could prepare themselves for all their future strides. SB Dutta Choudhury using his gift of the gab spoke on the very basic life skills required to achieve success in life. He also demonstrated confidence building tips. With the help of little games, Dutta Choudhury explained how to face adverse situation in life and roar back to the mainstream like a tiger.
He put forth a real life example before the students of achieving success in life. Mr Dutta Choudhury was accompanied by a youth Bishnu Chanda, an MDRT Agent of LICI. “This person Bishnu Chanda was an ordinary boy from Jaroiltala area of Cachar. When he came in contact with me, at that time, hardly anybody gauged that one day he will prove himself to achieve success in the insurance sector and will represent the country in the USA and Australia several times. Bishnu gradually started to polish himself by his perseverance and acquired MBA degree. His confidence level started to grow and finally he achieved big in this sector. He is not the lone example of real-life success. The main mantra to success is to develop one’s personality by confidence building and giving birth to the zeal in life.” He also emphasised on the fact that in order to achieve big, one shall have to dream big.
“It was indeed a feast for the ears. The lucid way in which the Guest Speaker Dutta Choudhury Sir demonstrated was indeed very helpful. We came out of the conference hall rejuvenated and feeling inspired to achieve greater heights in life,” said Zonathan, a student of TDC Commerce after the programme.
Earlier, SB Dutta Choudhury was felicitated by the Career Guidance Cell of the College. Dr Surat Basumatary, Convenor of the Cell delivered the welcome address. The objective of the programme was highlighted in his speech by IQAC Coordinator Sudarshan Gupta. The programme was compered by Dr Piya Das, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics.
