Cachar Police to organise ‘Passport Mela’ on 30 Oct
way2barak, Oct.27: Cachar Police is going to organise a “Passport Mela” at the office of the Superintendent of Police, Cachar, Silchar on 30 October, 2022. Informing this, Cachar Police informed that for the greater interest of the public, this Passport Mela will be held wherein people could complete their pending police verification.
Police Super Numal Mahatta said, “It has come to notice that a large number of verification reports for new/ renewal passport have been pending for long. Our honest effort clear them at one go. The applicants have already been informed.”
“People across the District whose Passport Verification are pending from long time were asked to come at the “Passport Mela” with all required documents as informed over phone call and make this Mela a grand success,” stated Cachar Police.
Documents required–
1. Identity proof.
2. Date of Birth proof.
3. Address proof.
4. Proof of Educational Qualification
5. Legacy proof with linkage upto 1971 or before.
6. Affidavit (subject to requirement)
