Cachar Police seizes 167 bags of Burmese supari in 2 separate incidents, 4 arrested

way2barak, Sept.5: Based on a secret information, OC Kalain & staff intercepted a Night Super bearing Registration No- AS-01GC 2434. On searching, police team recovered 80 bags (4,000 kgs) of suspected Burmese betel nut. Two persons were arrested in this connection. Further legal action is being initiated.

In another incident, acting on a tip-off, OC Borkhola and I/C Bangarpar intercepted two LPG trucks bearing Registration No. AS 11DC 7175 & AS11DC 3353 and seized 87 Burmese betel nut bags and 383 empty cylinders. 2 more persons were apprehended. Further investigation is on.
