Cachar Police recovers 51 kg Cannabis, 2 Auto Rickshaws seized & 2 persons arrested

Aug 6: The war on drugs unleashed by the state police department is continuing unabated. On Thursday, Cachar Police attained a major success as they were able to recover 51 kgs of cannabis (ganja) from Lakhipur. Based on a source input, a team led by SDPO Lakhipur intercepted two auto rickshaws along with the peddlers at Dilkhush area under Lakhipur Police Station. Upon checking, the police team recovered 51 kgs of cannabis from their possession.

Accordingly, the police team seized both the Auto Rickshaws and the two persons have been apprehended. Further follow up action has been initiated by the police.
