Cachar Police nabs 4 in connection with dacoity at Tarapur, recovers ₹25,500 from them

May 22: First two and then another two, a total of 4 persons were arrested by Cachar Police in connection with an incident of dacoity in a house at Khudiram Sarani at Tarapur Shib Bari Road, Silcar, a few days back. Initially two dacoits were nabbed and taken in police remand. On interrogation, two more of the gang were caught. The police made use of the CCTV footage to catch hold of these alleged criminals. Police has further recovered Rs.25,500 from their possession. Further interrogation is on to find out more details.

Taking to its twitter handle on Saturday, Cachar Police wrote, “Refer recent dacoity incident in Tarapur- 4 dacoits arrested so far and cash Rs. 25500 seized. Further action continues.”
