Cachar Police apprehends 1,500 bags of urea from makeshift godowns, 2 apprehended

Feb. 13: The all out operation against the syndicate raj is going on in full swing. Almost everyday, ‘mafias’ are being apprehended by Cachar Police those who are associated with the unholy beetle-nut and urea syndicate. On Sunday, it was another setback to the organised racket of pilferage and illegal movement of Fertilizers across the border. A total of 1,500 bags of Urea was seized from makeshift godowns at New Tibung Punji by cops from the Borkhola Police Station in Cachar.

Two persons were apprehended by the police for storing urea illegally in the makeshift godowns. Further investigations into this matter is on to unearth more details about this incident.
