Cachar district won silver in the prestigious SKOCH award for “Project AASTHA”
Jan. 19: For the first time, Cachar district has been awarded Silver at the National Level for AASTHA programme. The entire Health team was spearheaded by DC Cachar, ADC Health, JtDHS Dr.Sudip Jyoti Das, Dy.Supdt. SMCH Dr.P.Ghosh, Dr.Dipankar Chakroborty, DNO (DMHP) and Ujjal Das, DCM, Suman Choudhury, DME NHM.
DPM NHM Rahul Ghose was the key person for making the entire concept flawless and executed the project with the help of the Psychiatric Department of SMCH. All ASHAs & other FLWs ably guided by SDM&HOs & BPMU, NHM contributed in making the project a successful venture. This recognition gives credential to the fact that team work always yield good result. The joint effort of Psychiatric Deptt.(SMCH), respective BPHC team and ASHAs have ultimately been recognized at National level.
The innovative Project of District Administration, Cachar titled “Project AASTHA” was taken up with support from District Health Society & SMCH. This was nominated for prestigious SKOCH award. The project has been put on for exhibition for online voting. The unstinted support and online voting helped to achieve the award. The online voting ended on 21 December, 2020. Finally, Cachar district has been awarded silver at the national level.
