Cachar Administration steps up with medical aid for stranded truck drivers

way2barak, June 27: In a commendable humanitarian gesture, the District Administration of Cachar swiftly mobilized medical teams to deliver urgent healthcare assistance to truck drivers and their helpers stranded along the Assam-Meghalaya Highway and the Mahasadak route connecting Cachar and Dima Hasao.
Responding to the ongoing transport disruption affecting the region, medical teams from Jalalpur Block Primary Health Centre (BPHC) and Bikrampur BPHC were deployed to the affected locations to extend much-needed support. These dedicated teams carried out comprehensive health assessments of the stranded personnel, addressing fatigue, dehydration, and other health concerns brought on by prolonged waiting and adverse conditions.
In addition to detailed medical examinations, free medicines were distributed on the spot to ensure immediate relief and to prevent any escalation of health issues. This prompt and compassionate action by the district administration highlights its commitment to public welfare and its proactive approach in mitigating the hardships faced by people during unforeseen circumstances.
