Cabinet meeting to be held at Silchar in March: CM

Jan. 19: Since the taking over of the reigns of administration by Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma-led government, a trend has been set to hold cabinet meetings outside Dispur. Till now, 3 such cabinet meetings were held outside Dispur. The 3rd cabinet meeting was held in Haflong on 19 January, 2022. During the meeting, it was decided that the state government will hold the next cabinet meeting at Silchar in the month of March, 2022. This was informed by Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma during a press briefing on Wednesday.
