BVVBDF pays tribute to Covid warriors on Diwali who died serving the nation

Nov. 16: At the call of Federation of Blood Donors Organisations of India, ‘Barak Valley Voluntary Blood Donors Forum’ (BVVBDF) paid rich tribute to all those who sacrificed their lives fighting with Covid-19. On the day of Diwali, the festival of light, BVVBDF remembered and paid honour to all those doctors, nurses, health workers, security forces, blood donors, blood donation workers and many more who died in serving the nation and saving the people.

On Sunday evening, the members of BVVBDF assembled in front of a hotel near Silchar DSA, holding candles in their hands. A rally was also taken out on this occasion. On behalf of the organisation FBDOI Vice President cum BVVBDF Central Committee’s Working President Ashu Paul, BVVBDF Central General Secretary Karunamay Paul, BVVBDF Cachar District General Secrerary Sabyasachee Rudra Gupta and Women Wing President Shikta Paul shared their thoughts describing the motto of the programme and paid tribute to all those brave hearts.

The occasion came to an end by singing together Tagore’s immortal creation ‘Aguner Parashmani‘. A minute’s silence was observed to pay homage to the departed souls. BVVBDF also expressed condolence on the sudden demise of veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee and all others who have unexpectedly passed away in the last couple of days in Barak Valley.
