BVP Dakshin Silchar branch observes Sanskriti Saptah
Dec. 6: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), Dakshin Silchar Branch observed ‘Sanskriti Saptah’ from 21 November to 27 November. Keeping in view the importance of eco-system restoration and environment protection, Dr Darshana Patoa, Secretary, Biswaraj Chakraborty, Additional secretary, Dr Kingshuk Adhikari, Treasurer and Dr Subhadeep Roy Choudhury, co-ordinator of ecology and environment related activities initiated tree plantation at Rashtra Bhasha Vidyapeeth, Shillongpatty, Silchar. In presence of Dr Barun Jyoti Choudhary, Dr Ranjana Dhar and Dr Biswaranjan Roy, around 10 saplings were planted in the campus of the school for the welfare of the children and teachers. BVP Dakshin Silchar acknowledged the co-operation from the school authority for organizing the programme.
BVP Dakshin Silchar also organised Tulsi saplings distribution programme as a part of “Sanskriti saptah”. Considering the present pandemic situation and the property of Tulsi leaves for immunity enhancer, the members of Dakshin Silchar Branch distributed Tulsi Saplings among the inhabitants of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Road, Silchar. Prof Niranjan Roy, President of BVP Dakshin Silchar conveyed heartfelt thanks to all the members for making the events successful.
