Breaking: Assam HSLC Results 2022; Raktotpal Saikia tops SEBA Class X Exam

June 7: The results of High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam and Assam High Madrassa (AHM) conducted by Board of Secondary Education (SEBA), Assam was declared at 10 AM on June 7, 2022.
A total of 4,19,887 candidates appeared in the HSLC exam out of which 1,95,181 are male and 2,24,706 are female. 229131 students passed, out of which, 1,95,179 are male and 2,24,708 are female. A total of 65,176 students secured 1st division, 99, 854 got second division marks, whereas, 64,101 got third division marks. Further, 1,57,104 letters in different subjects were obtained by the students in HSLC Exam this year. Also, 14,047 students scored star marks (450 & above out of 600), whereas, 8,373 students got Distinction marks (450 & above out of 600).
On the other hand, 11, 245 candidates appeared in AHM exam out of which 4,199 are male and 7,046 are female. It may be mentioned that HSLC and AHM examinations were held from March 15 to March 31.
It needs mention here that a total of 55 students could make their place in the top 10 positions this year. Raktotpal Saikia of St Mary’s High School, North Lakhimpur secured 597 marks and bagged the first position. Bhuyashi Medhi of Little Flowers School, Nalbari stood 2nd with 596 marks, whereas, the third position was secured by three students who got 595 marks: Mridupawan Kalita (Don Bosco High School, Kheroni), Labeeb Muzib (Don Bosco HS School, Boiragimath) and Partha Pratim Das (Lohit Dikrong HS Bihpuria).
Biswadip Nath, a student of Holy Cross HS School, Silchar secured 10th position. It needs mention here that Biswadip Nath is the only student from the three districts of Barak Valley to secure position in the state. Biswadip is the son of Dr Bidyut Nath & Protiti Sikha Nath. Biswadip Nath of Holy Cross HS School secured a total of 588 marks out of 600. He got distinction and secured 6 letters in all the 6 subjects. He got letters in English, General Mathematics, General Science, Social Science, Advance Mathematics and Bengali.
