তিনি কিছুদিন আগে সৌদি আরব থেকে ফেরেন৷ এটি করোনা সংক্রমণের নতুন ভয়াবহতা ডেকে এনেছে৷ অনুমান করা যায়, সৌদি আরব থেকেই তিনি সংক্রামিত হয়ে এসেছেন৷ এর অর্থ,সরাসরি নিজামুদ্দিন সংযোগ নেই তাঁর সঙ্গে৷
তাঁর শরীরে করোনার তেমন কোনও লক্ষণ ছিল না৷ ফলে আলগাপুর থানার মোহনপুরের বাড়িতেই তিনি কোয়রান্টাইন ছিলেন৷ সৌদি আরব থেকে ফেরায় তাঁর লালারস সংগ্রহ করা হয়েছিল৷ মঙ্গলবার বাড়িতে থাকা অবস্থাতেই তাঁর পজিটিভ ঘোষণা হয়৷
এর পরই তাকে পরিবারের সদস্যদের থেকে পৃথক করে রাখা হয়েছে৷ পরিবারের সদস্যদেরও বিশেষ কোয়রান্টাইনের ব্যবস্থা করেছে জেলা প্রশাসন৷ কোভিট প্রটোকল অনুসারে এখন মোহনপুরে আক্রান্তের গোটা পাড়াকে পর্যবেক্ষণের আওতায় নিয়ে আসা হবে৷
April 7: The first COVID-19 positive case was reported from Hailakandi district of Assam. The 65 years old man from Hailakandi has a travel history to Saudi Arabia. With this, the total number of coronavirus patient in Assam increased to 28. This was tweeted by State Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on 7 April at 9 PM.

The minister wrote, “Alert ~ A person from Hailakandi district, with a travel history to Saudi Arabia, has been confirmed as #COVID19 positive. The total number of #Covid patients in #Assam now stands at 28.” This is the 2nd case in Assam without a Markaz connection.
The man was home quarantined in his residence at Algapur after returning from Saudi Arabia. He was declared positive when he was at his home on Tuesday. His family members were also home quarantined. As per protocol, the entire Mohanpur area under Algapur P.S. will now be under surveillance.
