Bollywood singer KK dies just after performing in a live concert in Kolkata
May 31: Renowned Bollywood singer KK (Krishnakumar Kunnath) passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest on Tuesday. He was aged 53. KK had a concert at a college in Nazrul Manch in Kolkata. KK was reportedly not feeling comfortable following his concert. He then returned to the hotel. The singer reportedly passed out on the bed as soon as he entered the room. Attempts to resuscitate him were ineffective. He was then rushed to the hospital CMRI hospital. However, he was declared brought dead there around 10 pm, as per reports. Earlier today, the musician had shared pics from his gig at Kolkata’s Nazrul Manch.
“Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.,” tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

KK was a popular singer who recorded songs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese and Gujarati languages films. He was regarded as one of the most versatile singers of his generation.
