Blockade portion at Malidor (NH-06) restored, long queue of vehicles

July 8: People of Barak Valley are encircled by problems one after another. Due to incessant rainfall, the NH-06 connecting SIlchar with Meghalaya has been facing regular landslides. On Thursday, thousands of vehicles, big and small were struck on the Silchar- Shillong road due to dilapidated  condition of NH-06 near Malidor- Ratacherra in Assam Meghalaya border (New Malidor Karbi Village).

However, District Administration Cachar on Friday late afternoon informed that, “The blockade portion of NH -06 at Kalaincherra Grant near Malidor has been restored by NHIDCL for smooth movement of vehicles including loaded heavy vehicles. NHIDCL is at work at the site to ensure that vehicular movement is not disrupted.”
