BJP names Biswajit Daimary as its candidate for Rajya Sabha by-poll

Feb. 15: A three-time Rajya Sabha member since 2008, representing Hagrama Mohilary-led Bodo People’s Front (BPF), Biswajit Daimary is ready now to step in again to the Upper House on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. He resigned from the Rajya Sabha soon after his re-election in 2020 and joined the saffron brigade in last  November.

The by-election for the Rajya Sabha seat from Assam for the constituency vacated by Biswajit Daimary will be held on March 1. Daimary is presently in the BJP core committee working closely with the election committee and advertisement committee.
