BJP must put an end to their exclusion policy towards the 3 districts of Barak Valley: Sushmita Dev

Sept 1: A meeting on educational issues of Assam was convened by State Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu in Guwahati on Monday. The meeting was attended by representatives of various  Student Organizations / Unions. However, surprisingly none from the three districts of Barak Valley were invited In the said meeting. The matter of exclusion of students organisations from Barak Valley was resented by TMC leader Sushmita Dev.

In a letter addressed to State Education Minister Dr Ranoj pegu, Sushmita Dev wrote, “It is surprising to see that no student organizations from the three districts of Barak valley were Invited In the said meeting. This has given rise to huge grievances amongst the people of entire Barak valley. How can a discussion on education related issues of Assam be held without any single representative organization from the three districts of Barak valley?
It is extremely unfortunate and has sent a very bad message to the students of Barak valley on being excluded In this manner. It is imperative that students’ organizations from all districts are consulted before any Important decision is taken regarding their future.”

Sushmita Dev further mentioned that BJP must put an end to their exclusion policy towards the three Districts of Barak Valley, Assam.
