Biggest one-time spike: 111 tests +ve in Assam, total rises to 1988
Active cases 1539 in Assam
June 4: In one of the biggest one-time spike, 111 cases of COVID-19 positive were reported from Assam. With this, the total number of coronavirus cases in the state has reached 1988, out of which 1539 are active. Till the filing of this report at 6.45 PM on Thursday, 158 persons were detected positive during the day. Sharing this information, State Health Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma provided the district-wise break up of the 111 COVID-19 cases detected on Thursday evening:
- 46 Hojai
- 28 Udalguri
- 11 Kamrup
- 10 Nagaon
- 5 Morigaon
- 3 Nalbari
- 3 Goalpara
- 2 Golaghat
- 2 Jorhat
- 1 Dhubri
