Big Announcement: Medical College to come up at Ratabari & Agricultural Univ at Patharkandi In Karimganj

Nov. 29: In a significant development, the much aspired Medical College at Karimganj district was declared to come up at Ratabari. Apart from this, also an Agricultural University would be established at Patharkandi in Karimganj district. This was announced by Patharkandi MLA Krishnendu Paul during a press meet held in Karimganj on Monday.

Expressing his views, MLA Paul said, “Out honourbale Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has made the announcement of establishing an Agricultural University at Patharkandi and a Medical College at Ratabari over telephone to me. On behalf of the people of Barak Valley, I would like to thank our Chief Minister for this. Whatever promises he made to the people of the state were all fulfilled by him in due course of time.”

Apart from MLA Krishnendu Paul, also present in the press meet were MLA Ratabari Bijoy Malakar, Debobrata Saha, Krishna Das, Nirmal Banik, Joy Shankar Chakraborty,Dr. Debotosh Paul, Jitendra Lal Roy, Nishi Kanta Bhattacharjee among others. The meeting was presided over by BJP district President Subrata Bhattacharjee.
