Bhabesh Kalita appointed as new BJP President of Assam

June 26: In a significant development, Rangia MLA Bhavesh Kalita (49) was appointed as the new State President of Assam BJP. Kalita will  replace Assam Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Ranjeet Kumar Das as the BJP state chief.

Informing this, Arun Singh, National General Secretary of BJP stated that the party National President, JP Nadda has made this appointment which shall come into force with immediate effect.
