Be aware of misinformation on social Media: Assam Police

way2barak, Dec.21: The various social media platforms are replete with varied forms of information. However, now-a-days, many such information become viral which are false and misleading in nature resulting often in social disharmony. Time and again, the Government has been issuing warning to the social media users to exhibit caution while posting or sharing any information in the social media platforms.

On Tuesday, in a tweet Assam Police also warned users against this menace. Assam Police wrote, “Be aware of Misinformation! On Social Media, always ask yourself: What will happen if I share it? False or misleading information can be created about almost everything.”
