Barak Valley records highest spike of 66 fresh +ve cases on Thursday

July 9: On Thursday, Barak Valley recorded the highest single day rise of 66 COVID-19 positive cases. This has sounded alarm bells among the people. Out of the 66 fresh cases reported on Thursday, the maximum number of 40 positive cases were from across Cachar. Hailakandi recorded 24 new cases of novel coronavirus. The lowest number of 2 cases were detected from Karimganj district.

Moreover, on Thursday, 22 patients were recovered and discharged from the three districts of Barak Valley. State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet wrote, “People are expected to follow precautions strictly.”
