৩ নভেম্বর: তিনসুকিয়ার বাঙালি নিধনের প্রতিবাদে আহূত অসম বনধে মিশ্র সাড়া পড়েছে। ব্রহ্মপুত্র উপত্যকার বিভিন্ন স্থানে দোকানহাট বন্ধ, চলেনি যানবাহন। স্থানে স্থানে রেললাইনে অবরোধ গড়ে তুলেছেন বনধ আহ্বানকারীরা। বিশেষ করে, লামডিঙ জংশনে সকাল থেকে পিকেটাররা লাইনের ওপর দাঁড়িয়ে রয়েছেন। থেকে কোনও রেলগাড়িকে এগোতে দেওয়া হয়নি।

রাজ্যের বাঙালি এলাকায় হিন্দু মুসলমান নির্বিশেষে বনধ পালন হচ্ছে। এমনকী, গুয়াহাটিতেও মিশ্র সাড়া মিলেছে। ফ্যান্সি বাজারে অধিকাংশ ব্যবসায়িক প্রতিষ্ঠান বন্ধ। অন্যদিকে, তিনসুকিয়ায় আজও শোকের পরিবেশ।
November 3: Assam bandh convened on Saturday as a mark of protest for killing innocent Bengalis received mixed response in the state. At many places in Brahmaputra valley, shops and markets remained closed. Vehicular traffic also were not seen on the roads. Picketers were seen to demonstrate in and around railway lines in various parts of the state. At Lumding, thousand of picketers gheraoed the railway station and raised slogans against the Assam government. Trains were stranded at railway stations.

Bandh was observed in the state mainly in those areas which are peopled by the people belonging to the Bengali community. Bengalis, irrespective of Hindus and Muslims supported the bandh and came out on the streets in large numbers. The bandh received mixed response at Guwahati too. Majority of the shops and business establishments remained shut at Fancy Baazar, Guwahati. Meanwhile, there was still an atmosphere of grief and mourning at Tinsukia, where 5 innocent Bengalis were killed by assailants on Thrusday night.
