Bajrang Dal holds protest demonstration at Silchar, demands immediate severe punishment for the killers of Kamlesh Tiwari
October 21: A protest demonstration was held by the Cachar District Committee of Bajrang Dal on Monday. The Bajrang Dal activists with placards in their hands demonstrated in front of the office of the Deputy Commissiner, Cachar as a mark of protest against the killing of Kamlesh Tiwari. Demands were raised for speedy trail of the culprits accused in the murder of Kamlesh Tiwari.
Kamlesh Tiwari was a former Hindu Mahasabha President. He was murdered by two people, who came to his Lucknow office in Khurshid Bagh area wearing saffron kurtas and with a box of sweets with an address of a Surat sweet shop on Friday afternoon. The assailants had kept the pistol and the knife in the sweet box. Three accused were arrested in this connection who have also also confessed to the crime.
At Silchar, the Bajrang Dal activists too raised strong demand to give severe punishment to those responsible for the murder of the ‘Hindu leader.’ Later on, they submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the Deputy Commissioner, Cachar.
In the memorandum, it was written that the members of Bajrang Dal were aghast at the news of “the horrific ISIS style assasination of Kamlesh Tiwari.” They also mentioned that this incident is an example of how much terrorist and fundamental ideology have entered the culture and society of India. In this backdrop, they sough the immediate intervention of the Prime Minister so that the murderers of Kamlesh Tiwari be given examplary punishment without any delay so that “such terrorist ideologies may not grow or even take root in this land of peace, that is, Bharatvarsha.”
