Awareness programme on road safety organised at multiple locations in Cachar
way2barak, Dec.23: To create awareness on road safety rules, signs and measures to minimise and contain accidents and ease road traffic congestion; an awareness meeting on road safety was organised by the district administration, Cachar at Cachar College, Silchar, Guru Charan College, Silchar, NIT, Silchar and Assam University, Silchar on Friday in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, SP Cachar and the District Transport Officer.
The awareness campaign encouraged the general public, especially students of colleges and universities to carry valid registration certificates, license and abstain from reckless and drunken driving which can cost lives.
