ASTC gives lease of 16 of its locations/ assets including Hailakandi to IOCL & HPCL
way2barak, Dec.23: Transport, Excise & Fisheries Minister Parimal Suklabaidya today graced the MoU signing ceremony of the retail service providers of IOCL/ HPCL outlets at the lands belonging to Assam State Transport Corporation(ASTC) who have been selected through an online tender process (tender floated for 19 nos of locations) (HPCL-12, IOCL-7) through e-procurement portal of Govt. of Assam).
It is to be mentioned that 85 bidders responded to the tender for 16 locations & H1 responsive bidders each were selected for the locations. This fuel retail outlet leasing out initiative is a part of ASTC’s holistic plan to productively utilize the vacant lands & assets of the organization & contribute towards revenue generation of the organization.
A fixed monthly rent of Rs.50,000 along with the percent quoted by each bidder above the base price for each location will be paid by the respective bidders to ASTC. The following locations /assets of ASTC were leased out as fuel retail outlets:
Hailakandi (HPCL), Chapar (HPCL), Abhayapuri (HPCL), Balipara (HPCL), Mangaldoi (HPCL), Silghat (HPCL), Dimoruguri(HPCL), Dhing (HPCL), Dumnichowki (HPCL), Tezpur (HPCL), Bilashipara (HPCL), Dhubri Workshop (HPCL), North Salmara (IOCL), Moran(IOCL), Gouripur(IOCL) & Sepon (IOCL).
I urged them to pour in utmost sincerity & dedication in running the outlets.

Today’s MoU signing ceremony took place at the Conference Hall of Transport Minister at Janata Bhawan, Dispur and was attended by Chairman of ASTC Mission Ranjan Das, Vice Chairman Pranab Jyoti Lahkar, Managing Director of ASTC Rahul Chandra Das, Chief Engineer and senior officials of ASTC.
