Assam University pays rich tribute to Netaji

২৩ জানুয়ারি : বিনম্র শ্রদ্ধার সঙ্গে দেশনায়ক নেতাজি সুভাষচন্দ্র বসুর ১২২তম জন্মজয়ন্তী পালিত হল আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে। কার্যনির্বাহী উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক ধামেলা -র পৌরোহিত্যে সুরক্ষা কর্মীদের সম্মাননা জ্ঞাপন এবং উপাচার্য ও রেজিস্ট্রার ড. সঞ্জীব ভট্টাচার্য সহ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপক ও অন্য কর্মীদের পুষ্পাঞ্জলি প্রদানের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানের সূচনা হয়।

উপাচার্য তাঁর সংক্ষিপ্ত ভাষণে নেতাজির জীবন ও কর্মের এবং আমাদের দেশের স্বাধীনতা অর্জনের নেপথ্যে নেতাজির অবদান বিনম্র চিত্তে স্মরণ করেন।

এ উপলক্ষে বিশ্ববিদ্যালেয়র প্রদর্শকলা বিভাগ ও পার্শ্ববর্তী অন্য বিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্রছাত্রীরা সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান পরিবেশন করে।
কেন্দ্রীয়় বিদ্যালয়, আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, বিবেকানন্দ কেন্দ্র বিদ্যালয় এবং বিবেক হোম সিনিয়র সেকেন্ডারি স্কুল সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানে অংশগ্রহণ করে।

প্রদর্শকলা বিভাগের প্রধান জগন্নাথ বর্মণ এবং নৃত্যের অধ্যাপক ড. সুজিত ঘোষের পারিচালনায় বিভাগের ছাত্রী সঙ্গীতা সিনহা, অঙ্কিতা বর্ধন, পহেলি পাল একক নৃত্যে এবং মৌমিতা, প্রিয়ঙ্কা, শতরূপা, বৈশালী, পিয়ালী সঙ্গীতে অংশগ্রহণ করেন। সঙ্গতে ছিলেন ব্রতদীপি দত্ত। অনুষ্ঠান সঞ্চালনা করেন অধ্যাপক পিন্টু সাহা।

 

January 23: Assam University fraternity offered rich tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on the occasion of his 122nd birth anniversary on Wednesday. The statue of Netaji in the university campus was beautifully decorated. The programme began with offering of floral tribute by Vice Chancellor in-charge Prof. Ranju Rani Dhamela, Registrar Dr. Sanjib Bhattacharjee, teachers, staff and students.

In her brief speech, Prof. Dhamela upholded the life and various aspects of Netaji, a freedom fighter whose indomitable courage has carved a niche for himself in the hearts of his countrymen.

A cultural programme was also organised in this connection wherein students from Fine Arts department of the varsity, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Vivekananda Kendriya Vidyalaya participated. Under the guidance of prof. Jagannath Barman and Prof. Sujit Ghosh, students performed songs and dance.

The students who participated in the cultural programme were Sangita Sinha, Ankita Bardhan, Paheli Paul, Moumita, Priyanka, Satarupa, Baishali, Piyali and Bratadipi Dutta. The programme was compered by prof. Pintu Saha.
