Assam Rifles organised voluntary blood donation camp at Srikona Garrison

June 14: Srikona Battalion of Headquarters 21 Sector Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organised a voluntary blood donation camp on the ocassion of, “World Blood Donor Day” with assistance from Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) on 14 June, 2022 at Unit Hospital.

A total of 26 personnel including a lady of the unit donated blood under the supervision of an expert medical team following all universal precautions and guidelines. A total of 27 units of blood including 08 units of rare blood groups like 0 negative, A negative, B negative etc were also donated with special emphasis on this year’s slogan “DONATING BLOOD IS AN ACT OF SOLIDARITY. JOIN THE EFFORT AND SAVE LIVES” .Certificates were also issued to the donors by the blood bank team from SMCH. The Silchar Medical College Hospital team extended their heartfelt gratitude for this noble act of Srikona Battalion.
