Assam registers 5 more COVID-19 deaths, tally rises to 145

August 9: Assam registered another 5 cases of COVID-19 deaths on Sunday. The deceased were identified as Rafiq Ali (66) and Mahendra Deka (90) from Kamrup Rural; Ramapati Devi (60) from Morigaon; Gobinda Das (32) from Tinsukia and Rijumoni Gohain (47) from Dibrugarh. This was confirmed by State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma. With this, the death tally of the state has gone upto 145.
